On the road again, August 11th 2017

Hey ho everyone!

For those who don't know me (probably 98% here) my name is Svenja, I am German and almost 23 years old. Right now I'm studying in Düsseldorf, but I will be going abroad next semester, more precisely to the University of Reading, England (like 30 mins away from London). And I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for me to kick of my new travel blog (yep, tried this before -) and this time actually stick to it (- and failed)... It actually might have taken some convincing by my friend Karo (who's way better at blogging than I am), but whatevs, here we go!

So the semester in Reading will start in the middle of September, so I've still got a little over a month to kill before I'm going away, and I wish I could tell you I'm using this time to travel and to cool stuff, but nope - I'm working and writing two term papers, so exciting. So while I can't do any actual cool traveling posts at the moment, I am planning of posting at least once a week just to update you guys on how my preparations are going, maybe talk about what to bring to a semester abroad, what I want to see in England, etc. 

So just a little bit about where I'm at right now: I am going to stay in Düsseldorf until the end of August, after that I will have a sub-renter (who I have already found - yay!) who will stay in my room until April, when I will move back in. So right now I am starting to pack up a few things already, but the big move will happen towards the end of the month! I am also doing my last couple of shifts at my current job - I only have like 4 to go, so after that I can concentrate fully on finishing those term papers. Wow. So excited. Can't wait. Anyways as for the organization, I am going to be living in a hall on campus! I am starting to buy some things here and there for that, but I think I'll get most of the stuff in England, so my suitcase won't be too heavy. I am now waiting on the last few information on accommodation and move-in-time and that type of stuff, which should come within the next few weeks - I'll keep you posted :)
